During 2021, “Nuclear and Radiation Safety Center” CJSC has successfully carried out the identification and searching of disused and orphan radioactive sources used in the following organizations:
- Institute of Physical Research of NAS RA,
- Institute of Ecologonospheric Research of NAS RA,
- Cardiology Research Institute,
- National Polytechnic University of Armenia,
- National Institute of Metrology
Found sources in Institute of Physical Research of NAS RA and Institute of Ecologonospheric Research of NAS RA were recovered and securely transported to “Rendering Harmless of Radioactive Waste” CJSC for safe storage.
In total, more than 80 radioactive sources from the above-mentioned organizations were identified and recovered.
